S. Morris manufacture and supply a wide variety of dense blocks (aggregate concrete masonry units) suitable for construction projects such as single or multi-storey housingdevelopments, commercial buildings, internal or external walls and load bearing partitions or foundations.

All concrete blocks are produced to rigorous standards in an advanced automated production facility, in South Somerset, to meet BS EN 771-3 special category of manufacturing control of structural units. They are covered by the guarantee of quality that CE certification provides.

Varied dimensions & strengths

Our concrete blocks are manufactured with the highest quality ingredients to produce units with a wide range of recognised dimensions and compressive strengths. When utilised for wall and floor constructions the units can meet the requirements of the Building Regulations Part L, for sound and thermal insulation respectively. Standard blocks provide an excellent background for fixings and for plastering or rendering whilst close textured blocks give a fine texture consistency suitable for direct painting.

A lightweight (Medium Densityconcrete block is also available with superior thermal properties and both Dense and Medium Dense products are available in close texture which can be suitable for painting in accordance to paint manufacture's instructions

About our concrete blocks

Primarily used as a building material in the construction of walls, our concrete blocks are a precast concrete product which can also be known as concrete masonry units (CMU). The term precast refers to the fact that the blocks are formed and hardened in our plant, before being brought to the job site.

Our concrete blocks are made from cast concrete, e.g. cement and aggregate, usually sand and fine gravel for our high-density blocks and a high quality aggregate for our medium density blocks.
